Getting started
How do I commission you to edit a video?
Either add us on LINE (@859kfvzs) and describe what you need, or fill in the request form (in Chinese; email in English is fine too). We assess it, send a quote and an estimated timeline, and start once you confirm and pay. Full steps: how to order.
I'm not sure what kind of video I want yet. Can I ask first?
Yes. Tell us what the video is for (social media, website, an event), roughly how long, and what material you have. We'll suggest an approach. Asking and assessment are free.
What kinds of video do you take on?
Commercials, corporate videos, event recaps, short-form (Reels, Shorts, TikTok), wedding and memorial videos, YouTube editing, subtitles and translation, color grading, intro design, AI video production, and video and audio repair. See services and the portfolio.
Pricing and timing
How is the price calculated? Is there a fixed rate?
We assess each project on video length, the amount and condition of the footage, subtitle and effects needs, the number of versions and the deadline. The process: send us your footage; we assess it and write a formal quote; once both sides confirm and payment is made, we start. How long does delivery take?
It depends on length, footage volume and complexity. We give an estimated timeline with the quote. If you have a fixed launch or screening date, tell us at the start and we'll say whether we can meet it.
How and when do I pay?
After the quote and scope are confirmed, payment is made and then we start. Payment methods are explained with the quote.
Footage and scripts
How do I send you my footage?
Organize it, upload it to Google Drive, set the folder to "Anyone with the link: Viewer" and send us the link. Step-by-step: from a computer, from a phone.
How should I organize footage so the edit goes faster?
Number the files in order, delete the clips you don't want, mark the must-use shots, and include any text or subtitles you want in the video. The clearer it is, the less back-and-forth. See the footage preparation checklist.
I have no footage, only text. Can you still make a video?
Yes. AI video production needs only a written script with the seconds, visuals and on-screen text for each segment. See AI video production and how to prepare a script.
Production and revisions
Can I see progress during production?
Yes. We report progress during the edit, and we confirm important directions (style, pacing) with you before going further.
Can I make changes after delivery? How many rounds?
One free round of minor revisions, within the scope confirmed at the start. Large structural changes aren't included and are quoted separately.
How are music and font licenses handled?
We use properly licensed music and fonts, or material you provide and have the rights to. If the video will run as a paid ad, tell us the purpose first so we choose material with the right license.
Delivery
What format do you deliver in?
Usually MP4 (H.264). Resolution and aspect ratio follow the purpose: 16:9 for YouTube and websites, 9:16 for Reels, Shorts and TikTok. Ask at the start if you need another format. See which delivery format to choose.
Can I have both a horizontal and a vertical version?
Yes, but framing and subtitle positions differ, so each version is adjusted separately and reflected in the quote and timeline.
Do you keep my footage?
We don't keep footage long-term after a project. Please keep your own originals. Later changes may require sending the footage again.
