Videos for schools and public bodies are often put together by the officer in charge while they carry on with their usual work. The material is spread across departments, the content goes through several rounds of approval, and subtitles, wording and consent all have to be checked before anything is released. Chipscat Studio is a video editing and post-production studio in Taiwan, founded in 2018, and we turn that material into videos ready to be shown in public. We work with schools and universities, government agencies, public enterprises, foundations and associations. We do editing, post-production and AI video only. We don't film: anything that needs filming can be recorded by your staff or a crew you hire, with the original files sent to us.

Event records and staff training
Records of press conferences, talks, award ceremonies and local events, and internal training videos. See event video production.
What these videos usually require
- Subtitles: for videos shown to the public, subtitles throughout are a good idea, so people who can't hear clearly or can't turn the sound on can still follow. English or another language can be added as bilingual subtitles; see multilingual subtitles.
- Readable on-screen text: type large enough to read, one point per screen, and plain language rather than official phrasing.
- Several rounds of approval: have one contact gather comments from every department and reply once. Revisions go far more smoothly; see getting a video through internal approval.
- Consent and licensing: your organisation obtains consent before students or members of the public appear on screen, and checks the licences for photos, music and fonts. Whether the content meets the relevant regulations is for your organisation to confirm.
- Delivery formats: the website, YouTube, vertical social versions and playback at events all have different specifications, so list every use at the start.
How a project runs
- Fill in the request form or message us on LINE with the purpose of the video, where it will be shown, the expected length, the deadline, and the material or text you already have.
- Assessment and quote: we reply within 48 hours to tell you whether we can take it on; if we can, we write up a quote so you can decide whether to go ahead. If there are procurement procedures or paperwork to follow, note them in the form so we can take them into account in our reply.
- Production and first cut once the quote is confirmed. One round of minor adjustments is included, within the scope set out in the quote.
- Delivery: a separate version exported for each use.
Each project is quoted on the length of the video, the state of the material, the subtitle languages and the number of versions; see how video editing is priced.
Fill in the request form.
We reply within 48 hours.
It takes about a minute: what the video is for, how long, the deadline and what footage you have. The form is in Chinese; if you prefer English, email us or message us on LINE. Within 48 hours we'll tell you whether we can help, and if we can, we'll send you a quote.
Frequently asked questions
We only have a written text and some photos. Can that become a video?
We can assess it. Your text can become on-screen captions and motion graphics, the photos can be given camera movement, and gaps can be filled with AI visuals. How far it can go depends on the text and photos.
Can you film at our school or office?
We don't offer filming; we specialise in editing, post-production and AI video. Filming can be done by your own team or a crew you hire, and the original files then come to us.
Can sign language interpretation be added?
The interpretation needs to be recorded by a sign language interpreter. If you supply the recording, we can place it in the frame and adjust its position and size.
What should we watch for when students appear on camera?
The school obtains consent from parents or the students themselves first. If a video for public release includes footage without consent, tell us and we can leave it out or blur it; see face blurring for video.
Can you make an English version?
Yes. We can add English subtitles or make a separate version with English on-screen text. You can supply the translation, or note in the request form that you need it translated.
