Anyone who has organised an event knows the hard part is the few weeks before it: venue, running order, speakers, gifts. The video often ends up last on the list, yet when the big screen comes on it is the first thing several hundred people see. Chipscat Studio is a video editing and post-production studio in Taiwan, founded in 2018, and we make the videos companies and organisers need before an event, on the day and afterwards. We do editing, post-production and AI video only. We don't film: your colleagues or a crew you hire can record the day and send the footage to us.

The videos one event usually needs

  • Before: a teaser, short clips for registration, introductions of speakers or guests. These can be made without any footage of the event; see event teaser videos.
  • On the day: an opening video, a year in review, nominee introductions for awards, transitions and countdowns, farewell or tribute videos, looping videos for a stand.
  • After: a highlight of one to three minutes, a full record, vertical cuts for social media, a results video for internal use.

If you plan all three stages together, the videos can share material and keep one consistent style. For the full approach, see the videos a corporate event needs.

Event videos we often work on

Year-end parties, spring banquets and annual meetings

Opening videos, a year in review, greetings and comic sketches from each department, and the graphics that link the lucky draw and the performances. See year-end party videos.

Farewells and retirements

Videos for a manager's retirement, a long-serving colleague retiring, or a colleague who is leaving or transferring, with photos and everyone's messages edited into one piece. See farewell and retirement tribute videos.

Trade shows and launches

Looping videos for the stand, the product reveal on the main stage, the highlight after the show. Exhibition halls are noisy, so the video has to make sense without sound; see looping videos for a trade show booth and product launch videos.

Award ceremonies and recognition events

Nominee introductions, winner reveals and short films about each winner; see award ceremony videos.

Seminars, press conferences, company trips and family days

The day's recordings edited into a highlight and a full record, to keep internally or use in external promotion. For long talks and training sessions, see condensing course and meeting recordings.

Where the material comes from

  • Event footage from a crew or your colleagues: send the original files, not copies compressed by LINE or another messaging app. Before the day, see filming an event with post-production in mind.
  • Photos and clips on everyone's phones: gather them in one cloud folder. There's no need to rename the files; we'll sort them.
  • No footage yet: promotion and opening videos before the event can be made with photos, logos, motion text and AI visuals; see AI video production.

Videos played on the day: check these first

  • Screen ratio and resolution: most projectors are 16:9, but LED walls often have unusual ratios. Ask the venue or the AV supplier for the specifications; see LED wall video sizes and specifications.
  • Playback: whose computer, which software, and where the sound goes.
  • Running order and timing: what the host says before and after the video, and whether the video leads straight into walk-on music.
  • Test run: once the video is finished, try to play it at the venue before the event, and keep a backup copy.

How a project runs

  1. Fill in the request form or message us on LINE with the event date, the videos you need, where they will be played and the material you have so far.
  2. Assessment and quote: we reply within 48 hours to tell you whether we can take it on; if we can, we write up a quote so you can decide whether to go ahead.
  3. Production and first cut once the quote is confirmed. One round of minor adjustments is included, within the scope set out in the quote.
  4. Delivery: a playback version exported to the venue's specifications, plus social versions if you need them.

Event dates rarely move. For videos played on the day, please contact us three to four weeks ahead where you can; for a highlight afterwards, try to have all the footage collected within a week of the event. Each video is quoted on its length, the state of the material and the number of versions; see how video editing is priced.

Frequently asked questions

Can you send someone to film the event?

We don't offer filming; we specialise in editing, post-production and AI video. Filming on the day can be done by your own team or a crew you hire, and the original files then come to us.

How long should a year-end party opening video be?

Usually one to three minutes. Much longer and the room starts chatting; much shorter and it doesn't lift the mood. Decide it together with the running order and the host's links.

The event was filmed on phones. Can you edit it?

Yes. If the picture is steady and the sound is clear, phone footage can become a highlight video. Where the sound is poor, subtitles or music can carry it.

Can we have the highlight video on the day of the event?

Same-day edits aren't something we offer; we specialise in editing and post-production after the event. The highlight is made after we receive the footage, on the schedule set out in the quote.

We need several videos for one event. Can we commission them together?

Yes, and it's the better way. The opening, review and highlight videos can share material and style. List every video you need in the form.
