When a video or recording goes wrong, it's usually one of four things: the file won't open, the picture has problems, the sound is noisy or clipped, or the recording is corrupted. Not all of these can be rescued, but many can be improved. The way it works: send us the file, we tell you how far it can be fixed and whether it's worth doing, and you decide.
What we can work on
Video files that won't open or are corrupted
Typical signs: the player says it can't play the file, there's sound but no picture, the recording stopped halfway, or the file went strange after a memory card or drive error. Don't delete or overwrite anything yet. See why a video file won't open and what to do.
Picture problems
Blurry, noisy, color-shifted or stuttering footage. We can enhance quality, reduce noise, correct color and add frame interpolation for smoother playback. See old video restoration, smoother playback and old photo colorization.
Noise and clipping in video and audio
Background hum, electrical buzz, wind, room echo, clipping and distortion, unclear voices. This applies to video sound, podcasts, meetings, weddings, concerts and event recordings. See audio repair and common noise types and how they're repaired.
Corrupted recordings that won't open
Audio files that won't open, recordings that stopped halfway, or files that contain only noise. Send them to us for assessment before giving up on them.
Before you send a file
- Not every file can be rescued. The type of damage, the original quality and how it was recorded all affect the result. After assessing it we'll tell you straight whether it can be done.
- Noise and clipping are "improved", not "restored". Light problems can be cleaned up well; heavy clipping has already lost information and can only be reduced.
- Keep the original. Don't overwrite or re-encode the original file. We always work on a copy.
- Assessment first, then a quote. The assessment is free. Work starts only after you confirm and pay.
How to send a file for assessment
- Stop using the original file: don't save, overwrite or keep trying repair tools on it.
- Fill in the request form or message us on LINE and describe what happened: how it was recorded, when the problem appeared, and which player you used.
- Upload the file to Google Drive, set it to "Anyone with the link: Viewer", and send us the link.
- We assess and reply: how far it can be fixed, the estimated time and a quote.
- Work starts after you confirm, and we deliver the repaired file when it's done.
How pricing works
We assess each job based on file length, how badly it's damaged, what needs to be done (noise reduction, de-reverb, clipping repair, picture enhancement, frame interpolation and so on) and the deadline. The process: send us the file; we assess it and write a formal quote; once both sides confirm and payment is made, we start.

Fill in the request form.
We assess it for free.
It takes about a minute: what happened, how long the file is and when you need it. The form is in Chinese; if you prefer English, email us or message us on LINE. Within 48 hours we'll tell you whether we can help, and if we can, we'll send you a quote.
Frequently asked questions
My video file won't open. Can it definitely be recovered?
Not necessarily. It depends on where and how badly the file is damaged. Some can be repaired to play normally, some only partly, and some can't be recovered at all. We'll tell you straight after assessing it.
Can noise be removed completely?
Light background noise and electrical hum can usually be cleaned up well. Wind, echo and heavy clipping can be improved but not fully restored. We explain the expected result during assessment.
Can you work on a wedding or meeting recorded on a phone?
Yes. Upload the original file (not one compressed by a messaging app) to Google Drive, send us the link and tell us how it was recorded.
Is my file kept confidential?
Your file is used only for the repair job. It isn't shared or used for anything else, and we don't keep it long-term after the project. Please keep your own copy of the original and the repaired file.
How long does it take?
It depends on file length and what needs to be done. We give you an estimated timeline with the assessment.
