From launch to sell-out, a development uses more video than most people expect: a brand film, an introduction to the site and surroundings, 3D animation of the building and amenities, a loop for the sales centre, short ad cuts for social and video platforms, and outdoor screens. The material comes from different suppliers: a 3D studio for renders, a drone team for the site, a photographer for locations and interviews. Bringing those sources together into videos that look like one project is the job of post-production. That is the part Chipscat does. We don't film.
Our corporate video service, process and examples are on corporate video production; for campaign versions, see ad video production.
Typical material
- 3D renders and architectural animation: exterior, lobby, amenities, interiors, usually from the architect or a 3D studio.
- Drone footage: the site, nearby green space, transport links, the skyline. See the drone footage portfolio page.
- Location shots: schools, shops, parks, the station, streets at dawn and dusk.
- People: interviews with the architect, the design team and the brand's principal.
- Brand assets: logo, typography, the project's key visual, print-ad artwork.
Missing shots, such as lifestyle scenes, seasonal atmosphere or a conceptual opening, can be made with AI video production. These must be clearly distinguishable from the real building and surroundings; see the section on verification below.
What post-production does
- One colour treatment. Renders, drone and camera footage look very different; grading makes them one film. See colour grading explained.
- Pace and music. Development films are measured, with shots held longer than in most ads; the music sets the quality.
- Motion graphics. Location maps, travel times, site plans and unit layouts read better as animated graphics than as text cards.
- Movement from stills. With renders but no animation, camera moves and layering create a sense of space.
- Subtitles, voice-over and notices, including any required explanatory text.
One master, several versions
- Brand film: 60 to 120 seconds, for the website, sales centre and presentations.
- Sales-centre loop: understandable without sound and seamless on repeat; the same approach as a trade show loop video.
- Ad cuts: 15 and 30 seconds, landscape and vertical; see cutting 6, 15 and 30-second ads.
- Large screens: outdoor LED and video walls, often in non-standard ratios; see LED wall video specifications.
- Stage updates: launch, groundbreaking, topping-out, handover, each replacing some shots and text.
Listing the versions at the start lets framing and text positions be planned for all of them, which is more efficient than adding them one at a time.
What your company needs to verify
Property advertising is regulated and must match the facts. We produce the video and don't give legal advice. These points are for you, your legal team or your sales agency to confirm:
- Whether renders and AI-generated scenes need an "artist's impression" or similar notice.
- The accuracy of floor areas, travel times, distances, materials and fittings.
- Whether statements about nearby facilities and future infrastructure are supported.
- Required permit and company information.
Supply the on-screen text as a document. Figures and descriptions in the video follow the text you supply.
What to prepare
- The project name, key visual and brand guidelines.
- Original files of all material, in folders by source. See how to send large video files.
- The script or concept text, and the wording and figures to appear.
- A version list: length, size, where and on what it will play.
- The schedule: launch date and the date each version is needed.

FAQ
Can you film the site by drone or on location?
We don't offer filming; we specialise in editing, post-production and AI video. Your photography or drone team handles the shoot.
We only have a few renders and no animation. Is a video possible?
Yes, with camera moves, parallax layering, motion graphics and atmosphere shots. How far it can go depends on the resolution and number of images.
Can the 3D studio's animation be regraded or retimed?
Colour, speed, cropping and text can be changed. Changing the camera move or the building itself needs a re-render from the 3D studio.
We have several projects. Can they share one style?
Yes. A fixed opening, closing, typeface and graphic style, with the content replaced per project, strengthens the brand.
