What to Provide So an AI Video Matches Your Brand

AI-generated visuals are easily "nice, but not us". The reason is usually not the AI; it's that we have no brand material and can only go in a generic direction. Send the items below before commissioning and the result will look like yours.

Essential

  1. Logo: a vector file (AI, SVG, PDF) is best; otherwise a high-resolution PNG with a transparent background. Not a screenshot or a photo of a business card.
  2. Brand colours: hex codes for the primary and secondary colours, such as #1E90FF. Without codes, send an image of your website or business card and we sample them.
  3. Fonts: the names of the fonts your brand uses. For paid fonts, we need the licensed font files from you.
  4. Purpose and audience: this sets the tone. See how to describe the style you want.

Very helpful if you have them

  • Past videos or ads: they show us what the brand has looked like so far.
  • Product photos: real product photos can be composited into AI scenes, far more accurate than letting the AI invent the product.
  • Brand guidelines: if a brand book exists, send it.
  • Reference visuals: any image or video, with a note on what you like about it.

What must not appear

Often overlooked, and important. For example:

  • A competitor's colours or anything resembling their mark.
  • Scenes that clash with the brand, such as cluttered backgrounds for a premium brand.
  • Particular types of people, animals or symbols.
  • The old logo or a retired slogan.

How this shapes the generation

Brand colours guide the lighting, props and background palette; the logo goes in the ending and wherever needed, placed by us in post rather than "drawn" by the AI, which gets it wrong; fonts are used for subtitles and title cards; past videos set the pace and colour direction. At the storyboard stage we show you the visual direction and produce only after you approve it.

Frequently asked questions

We have no brand book, just a logo. Is that enough?

Yes. We sample colours from the logo and propose a direction for you to confirm. Less material means more rounds of confirmation.

Can the AI generate the logo directly onto the product?

Not recommended. Generated text and marks often distort. We add the logo in post-production.

Can it match the colour of our earlier filmed videos?

It can come close; the grading stage uses your filmed videos as reference. The full list is in what to prepare for AI video production.
