The 5 Most Common Problems in AI Video Scripts: Vague Visuals, Overloaded Segments, Too Much On-Screen Text

Most scripts we receive are usable; they just share a few things that need adjusting. Here are the five most common, each with a fix. Read this before writing and you'll save a round of back-and-forth. For the basic format, see the script-only video format.

1. Visual descriptions that are too abstract

"Convey professionalism and trust", "a high-tech look": these are feelings, not pictures. AI needs something it can draw.

Fix: write who, where, doing what. For example "a man in a shirt in a bright office, nodding at a laptop". The feeling can go alongside as a note.

2. Too much in one segment

"0 to 10 seconds: company history, three services and the team." Ten seconds can't do that, and viewers won't remember it.

Fix: one point and one picture per segment. If there's more, add segments, lengthen the video, or make a series.

3. On-screen text that's too long

A segment showing "We provide fully integrated marketing solutions that help businesses in the digital era". On screen for three seconds, nobody finishes reading it.

Fix: on-screen text is one line, a few words, like a headline. The full explanation goes in the narration, or nowhere.

4. Asking for things that can't be done

Fix: real people and products as real material, text added in post, no single character running through the whole video.

5. Inconsistent style from segment to segment

Photorealistic in the first half, suddenly cartoon in the second; a warm segment followed by a cold one. Each is fine alone; together they look like two videos.

Fix: write one line at the top of the script setting the overall style (for example: realistic, bright, warm, everyday life) and keep every segment to it. One to three reference videos help even more.

After writing

Check that every segment has three things: which seconds, what's on screen, what text appears. Frequently asked questions

Do I have to write the script myself?

The core content has to come from you, because only you know what to say. We advise on structure and visual descriptions during assessment.

Do the seconds have to be exact?

No. Rough proportions are enough; the actual length is adjusted to the narration and visuals.

Can the script be in English?

Yes, English or Chinese.
