Personal Brand Videos for Doctors, Lawyers, Consultants and Business Owners

Before booking a doctor, instructing a lawyer or hiring a consultant, most people look the person up online. A written profile covers the credentials, but it can't show how the person speaks, how they work, or whether sitting across the desk from them would feel reassuring. A two or three-minute personal brand video fills that gap. It doesn't need to be lavish; it needs to be real and clear, so that the right people finish watching and want to get in touch.

Who it suits

  • Doctors, dentists, psychologists, dietitians and other health professionals.
  • Lawyers, accountants, architects, designers and other professional services.
  • Consultants, coaches, trainers and authors.
  • Business owners, founders and brand owners.

What the video should say

  1. Who you are and who you serve, in one sentence.
  2. Why you do this work: one true story is remembered longer than ten credentials.
  3. How you help: the way you work, and what a client goes through.
  4. The next step: how to book or get in touch.

The best personal videos are usually the person speaking in their own words. Write an outline, but don't memorise a script; see how to prepare a video script.

Filming and material

  • The talking part: at your place of work or a quiet office, camera fixed, light coming from the front and side. With a budget, hire a videographer; picture and sound will be far steadier. Recording on a phone also works; see simple lighting at home or in the office and recording clear audio without a microphone.
  • Footage of you at work: talking with clients (with consent, or from behind), reading documents, arriving at the office, moments from talks. This is the supporting footage the edit needs most; see what B-roll is.
  • Existing material: recordings of talks, press interviews, award photos.

Chipscat Studio does editing and post-production only; we don't film. Send us the original files; see footage is shot and only post-production is needed.

Length and versions

  • Main website film: ninety seconds to three minutes.
  • Social clips: 30 to 60-second vertical cuts from the main film, one point each; see turning one video into ten shorts.
  • For talks and events: a 30-second introduction played before you go on stage.

Regulated professions

Medicine, law, finance and other fields have their own rules on public promotion, for example about treatment outcomes, success rates or returns. Whether the content complies is for you to confirm under the rules of your profession; we don't provide legal advice, and figures and descriptions in the video follow what you supply. Get consent from any client or patient before they appear on camera.

Before sending it to us

Prepare the original footage, the key points and outline, brand guidelines (logo, fonts, colours) and where the video will be used. See how to describe the editing style you want. Other kinds of private commission are listed under private commissioned videos.

Frequently asked questions

I'm not used to the camera and I stumble. What can I do?

Record in short sections and simply start again after a mistake; stumbles are cut in the edit. An interview format, with someone asking questions and you answering them rather than the lens, usually feels more natural.

Can AI generate footage of me?

A personal brand video is about the real you, so AI-generated faces aren't recommended. AI suits scenario and concept shots; see can AI video use a real person's face.

Do I need a version in another language?

If you have overseas clients or partners, subtitles or a separate language version can be added; see multilingual video versions.
